May 19th is a very important day for fans of circus and entertainment history, as this date back in 1884 marked the unveiling of the Ringling Bros. Circus. This Wisconsin-based troupe would evolve massively over the years, with it eventually transforming into the world-famous Barnum & Bailey Circus, the subject of “The Greatest Showman.”

It was a happy birthday for a certain Mr. President!

In 1962, today was the date that famous actress Marilyn Monroe sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy. She sang it to him in front of 150,000 people in Madison Square Garden, New York City.

On May 19th, 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would marry at Windsor Castle - in a ceremony that did away with much of the ceremony of Royal gatherings of centuries past.
