Purple Heart Day
Celebrated largely in the US, Purple Heart Day is an important occasion falling on August 7th each year for people connected to the American Military. Specifically, the occasion celebrates the creation of the Purple Heart badge, devised to help decorate and honor service people fighting in the name of the states. It remains the oldest decoration in the military purely for merit, and today’s a great day to remember those who served for us, and who continue to serve.
